Andy Craver Award

In Memory Of Lacy Anderson (Andy) Craver

April 1, 1977 - January 14, 1990

Andy Craver was a member of the Winston-Salem YMCA (WSY) swim team prior to his tragic death in January of 1990. His hard work, effort, and determination resulted in a Top-16 time in the 100 Fly. Andy is remembered fondly by all those who knew him, especially the many friends he made while participating in the sport of swimming. As a testimony to Andy’s exemplary attitude toward swimming, the TYDE swim team, (formerly WSY), through North Carolina Swimming, gives an award each year that bears his name, the Andy Craver Determination Award.
